Eye Department of Karunasindhu Charitable Hospital linked to CGHS panel run by Central Government

The Eye Department of Karunasindhu Hospital has proved to be a boon for the eye patients since its inception. It has state-of-the-art machines and a high level team of skilled and experienced doctors. Here various problems related to eyes such as white cataract, black cataract, problems of the eye screen (diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy), squint etc. are successfully treated. We also have different departments for eye related problems in the eye department like retina and vitreous surgery department, cornea clinic, refraction clinic, glaucoma clinic and acloplastic clinic etc. In which all the problems related to eyes are treated by the team of experienced doctors. Cleanliness is also taken care of in our hospital. Sterilization is done as per international standards in Operation Theatre, Post Operative Room, Pathology Lab etc. and it is also certified by various tests at regular intervals. Due to these efforts, there is no problem of infection in the operations done in the hospital. About 3 thousand cataract operations are being performed in our hospital every year with excellent visual outcome. And till now we have done more than 26000 successful eye operations here.
